In 1955, Snowden Daines along with three founding partners, began the Innisfail Auction Market. At this time, all classes of livestock were sold on their regular sale day which has always been Wednesday. Besides the livestock sale ring, they also had a miscellaneous room where everything from household items , garden produce, eggs and poultry in crates were sold. This was a great place for young auctioneers to get their start; Mark Daines and Duane Daines started their career here after they completed auction school.

By 1967, Snowden's 3 founding partners had sold their shares and the Innisfail Auction Market was owned entirely by the Daines family. Currently, the Innisfail Auction Market is operated by three generations of the Daines family ; Danny , Mark and Duane who share management responsibilities.

The original building is a landmark in Innisfail. The yards have transitioned from wood to steel , beginning in 1984 and building on to increase capacity has occurred in many phases. We are proud of our clean facilities and to host several purebred, bull, commercial cattle , production and dispersal sales as well as monthly horse sales and machinery sales.
